Occupying the site of the historic Press Bar, the proposals seek to complete the transformation of this section of Albion Street by infilling the last remaining gap within the street pattern. The proposals incorporate flexible commerical space to the ground floor, which includes a mezzanine & basement level. Above this residential units have been included, comprising studio & 1 bedroom properties.  A streamlined palette of materials has been proposed - just glass & steel. Smooth satin steel cladding makes up the prevailing material, with corten steel used to create a striking contrasting statement. The building line would splay at 3 different angles to reflect the varying storey heights along the street; creating a 'twisted' appearance unique to the building.
