Located on the highest street in Glasgow, the conversion of the former Maryhill Primary School and its adjacent playgrounds on Viewmount Drive represents an exciting mix of the old & the new.
Extensive early discussions with planning, heritage and local residents, have resulted in a scheme which sensitively restores and adapts the existing C listed school building whilst meeting all the requirements of modern flatted housing. The two newbuild ‘wings’ of terraced housing & flats either side of the original school building, have been designed to provide a modern counterbalance to the new streetscape, whilst still honouring the key design features of the old school.
