15 newbuild dwellings for social rent
Following on from the holistic Feasibility Study in 2016 and the first phase of regeneration at Abbeycraig Road, this next phase will provide a further 15 homes for social rent to a recently cleared brownfield site. The design ethos is very much on an 'evolution' of the principles established at Abbecraig Road. Long terraces have once again been used, this time to form a more complete 'L' block that addresses both adjoining streets. Most house types have been carried over, with subtle improvements to reflect subsequent revisions to the Glasgow Standard.
The generous semi-private spaces being pioneered at Abbeycraig Road, are this time manifested in an even larger 'resident's garden'. This large extension onto each properties private garden space is accessible only to resident's of the 15 homes and will provide a fantastic space for recreation and socializing. A greater focus has been placed on providing visible SUDS measures to this phase, with large 'rain gardens' being located to principle areas, intended to receive surface run off from the roofs & hardstanding areas.
