Flatted development of 24no. flats for social rent including 2no. wheelchair adaptable dwellings.
Following a detailed Feasibility that explored various options for the site, Grant Murray were appointed to design and oversee delivery of 24 newbuild flats to the site; intended to 'complete the urban block'.
Arranged over the 3 closes, 2 of the blocks follow a traditional 4 storey tenement pattern - a typology that is widely prevalent throughout the local area. The corner close deviates from this established pattern and utilises a split level arrangement to overcome the existing topography at this corner. This ensures the building addresses both Glenbarr Street and Rhymer Street simultaneously, whilst it also provides an interesting focal point to this corner approach.
100% resident's parking, soft landscaping & communal backcourts have all been integrated carefully, while all properties enjoy south facing living areas, large balconies and bright communal areas overlooking the street.
