In several recent projects, Grant Murray have been delighted to work both on our own and in close collaboration with affiliated local artists, to realise several significant public art installations. These have ranged from the subtle incorporation of a class register that was recovered from a disused former school builidng into new gates, to the dramatic reproduction of the 'Glasgow' poem within two 15ft high circular steel towers. The only constant has been extensive dialogue with local people in each case, to allow them to have as much input into the concepts as possible and the fullest opportunity possible to shape their local environment.
