Conversion of existing former agricultural byre to form new private dwelling
Located on Dalmusternock Farm, Fenwick, the project granted a new lease of life to a derelict byre structure. The design solution ties the existing byre to a contemporary extension, which cantilevers over the adjacent burn offering a unique feature to the property and integrating it into the natural landscape. The watercourse is captured through feature glazing throughout the new living spaces capturing spectacular views.
Overall, the project regenerated and enhanced the historic byre with a high end modern specification, without compromising the overall quality and heritage of the building and surrounding environment.
