Feasibility study exploring potential for community facilities on Tiree
Tiree Music Festival CIC (TMF) commissioned SKS in partnership with Grant Murray Architects, to undertake a feasibility study exploring ways in which the festival can offer wider, year round benefits to the local community on the island. In light of continuing uncertainty on large scale events posed by the Covid -19 pandemic, the study also explored ways in which the economic and environmental sustainability of the festival can be better secured.
As the study progressed detailed focus was placed on one site given the clear benefits it presented over others assessed and which offered the greatest potential for the successful delivery of the project. Proposals were explored looking at a variety of options with an emphasis on the potential for staged development to ensure the sustainable growth of the project.
